Locking

Records available in the system are normally editable by their owners. This allows missing information to be completed gradually. Owners can also delete such records, if they are not used by the system, i.e. other records do not refer them. If a record should be preserved at a final condition, it can be locked for modifications by the administrators. Locked records can only be updated by the administrators. Locked records are indicated by a padlock at the top of the information pages (Figure 1).
